What is MPE®?
The MPE® line of products enables the secure distribution of digital content centered on two broad security features. The MPE® security protects downloaded content from unauthorized duplication and disbursement.
MPE® uses two proprietary security technologies. The first aspect locks a digital file to the device that has been authorized to access the file. The second aspect marks the file so a trace is embedded into each file so sources of copies can be uniquely identified. These two features can be used in conjunction or as alternatives to each other. These two aspects are the subjects of two US patents:
- Digital Locking technology: "Digital Media Distribution Method and System" (US 20020146122, WIPO 01/65796) issued on Dec. 16, 2008.
- Digital Trace: "Methods for Watermarking Media Data" (US 20080098022) was published in April 2008 and is currently pending review.
The suite of MPE® products includes the Play MPE™ secure distribution system and the PODDS® online music store solution.

Currently, the fastest growing of all Destiny's products and services is the Play MPE® system. Play MPE® is used by record labels to transfer pre-release music, music videos, full length concerts, radio shows etc to radio stations, music reviewers, music buyers, movie and television producers, sports stadiums, and other trusted recipients.
As a digital courier service, fees are charged each time a send is made available to a recipient. A send can be a single file or a group of files and is akin to an envelope where the fee per send is based on the size of the files distributed.
The main competition for Play MPE® is the traditional manufacture and mailing of CD's.

PODDS: a complete software suite approved by the Canadian Audio-Video Licensing Agency (AVLA), which represents virtually every Canadian record label to securely sell music online. Podds.ca includes encoding modules, accounting modules and player software and is available as a sub-licensable software suite or as a standalone product for distribution of music to commercial users in Canada.
